Bourbon Review: Knob Creek 12 yr

Knob Creek - Straight Bourbon Whiskey - 100 proof

Knob Creek 12 Year was originally positioned as a limited edition bourbon when it was released in late 2019.

Like its younger (9 year old) brother, Knob Creek 12 Year bourbon is aged perfectly in charred white oak barrels.

“This has definatley been aged well, and again I am going back to that deep complexity. There are flavors in this that I cant even pick out, which really gets my mind turning.”

We wanted to go back to basics for a review, but not too basic. We took an all-time brand in Knob Creek and got ahold of the 12 year expression. We were elated when we found out last year the KC was bringing their 12 year bourbon to market in a non-allocated form, and this juice does not disappoint! Caramel, vanilla, “Beam” oak. Its wonderfully complex and at 100 proof it feels a little hotter and yet sips easily. Really good marks for this one. Have you had it?
